Principle
This website is deliberately kept technically lean. It uses no cookies, no third-party web fonts, no analytics or tracking services and embeds no external content such as maps or videos. Simply visiting the site therefore does not transmit any personal data to third parties.
Because no information is stored on or read from your terminal equipment, consent under Section 25 TDDDG (Digitale-Dienste-Datenschutz-Gesetz, German Digital Services Data Protection Act) is not required. For the same reason you will find no consent banner here – there would be nothing for you to consent to.
Hosting
This website is operated at STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin. Strato processes the data arising when the website is accessed exclusively on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place. Processing takes place on servers in Germany.
No personal data is transferred to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.
Server log files
When the website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically stores in server log files the information transmitted by your browser. This is generally:
- Page accessed and time of access
- Volume of data transferred and notification of successful retrieval
- Browser type and version, operating system used
- Referrer URL
- IP address
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free operation and the security of the website. This data is not merged with other data sources.
The log files are deleted automatically by the hosting provider as soon as they are no longer required for the purposes stated. According to information provided by STRATO AG, log files concerning visitors to the website are stored for no longer than seven days. We ourselves do not access or evaluate this data.
Contacting us by e-mail or telephone
If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, we process the data you provide in order to deal with your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR in the case of pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose of the processing, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Please note: an e-mail sent unencrypted may be read by others in transit. If you wish to send confidential information, just let us know – we will then agree a secure route with you.
Contact form
You can reach us via a form on the contact page. The following is processed:

In addition, we record the time of submission and the IP address. Both serve to prevent misuse, in particular mass automated submissions.
Transmission and storage. Transmission is encrypted (TLS). The details are not stored in a database on the web server; they are forwarded directly by e-mail to our mailbox and kept there for the purpose of handling the enquiry.
Protection against misuse. In order to prevent the form from being used for mass submissions, the server stores the times of the most recent submissions for each IP address. These entries expire automatically after one hour and cannot be retrieved from outside. No content of your enquiry is stored in this process.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – the processing serves to answer your enquiry and thus pre-contractual measures. For the storage of the IP address and the time for the purpose of preventing misuse, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in protecting our systems against automated mass submissions. The checkbox in the form serves to confirm that you have taken note of this privacy policy; it is not consent within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and the processing is not based on it.
Obligation to provide data. Use of the form is voluntary; there is no statutory or contractual obligation to provide the data. Without the fields marked as mandatory, however, we cannot deal with your enquiry. Alternatively, you can reach us at any time by e-mail or telephone.
Deletion. We delete the details as soon as your enquiry has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention obligations apply. If the enquiry leads to an assignment, the retention periods under commercial and tax law apply.
No automated decision-making
Automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR does not take place. Your enquiries are read and answered by people.
Your right to object
You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data.
Insofar as we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – this concerns the server log files and the prevention of misuse of the contact form – you may object to this processing under Art. 21 GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data concerned, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds which override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment or defence of legal claims.
An informal objection to all@bout-quality.de is sufficient. No particular form is required, and you incur no costs as a result.
Your further rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Insofar as processing is exceptionally based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future pursuant to Art. 7(3) GDPR; the lawfulness of the processing carried out up to that point remains unaffected.
An informal message to the contact details given above is sufficient to exercise these rights.
Right to lodge a complaint. Irrespective of the above, you have the right under Art. 77 GDPR to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority – either the authority of your place of residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.
